DESCRIPTION:Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and Whole Washington are teaming up for some Town Halls along with Undue medical Debt (pka RIP Medical Debt).  We will be in Everett where WPSR will present their “Healthcare not Warfare” program along with Whole Washington to present information about our proposed Washington Health Trust. \nWe are visiting every corner of the state to create spaces for open dialog about the failures of the current for-profit system\, to solicit stories from those impacted by the lack of adequate nurse staffing\, hospital and provider closures\, challenges of navigating insurance coverage and denials\, or surprise bills and financial debt. This is a non-partisan\, educational event – open to the public.  WPSR will be sharing their Healthcare not Warfare program and Undue Medical Debt hopes to raise enough money to buy back 1 million dollars in medical debt from Washingtonians. Whole Washington will be present to discuss our  Washington Health Trust.  We’ll end with Q & A from you\, the audience.  Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours. \nWe believe we can do better by establishing the Washington Health Trust and designing a nonprofit system that works for patients and providers\, without the corrupting influence of for-profit insurance companies.
