This bill\, introduced in the Washington State Senate\, would create the first state-wide publicly funded\, universal health care system in the country! \nThe purpose of the Universal Health Care Commission is to: \n\nMake the health care system more accessible by increasing access to quality\, affordable health care.\nPrepare the state for the creation of a health care system that provides coverage and access for all Washington residents:\n\nThrough a unified financing system.\nOnce the federal government approves this new health care system.\n\n\n\nAll Universal Health Care Commission meetings are public meetings\, and members of the public are welcome and encouraged to share their input. All feedback is shared with commission members. \nA Zoom link to join this meeting is posted on the Universal Health Care Commission Website.  \nShare your input:\nDuring a commission meeting (there is a designated time for public comment). Sign up to provide public comment by 5 p.m. the day before the meeting occurs. \nBy contacting the Universal Health Care Commission at any time.
