We will feature one movie at a time for a couple of weeks during the months of October and November. Some of the movies you will be watching on your own and joining us for a “movie club” discussion and Q & A!  Some of the movies we will live stream via Zoom and watch together followed by a Q & A and Discussion! \nHere is our final Film of the festival. \nfor Part 4 we will share a screening of Healing US followed by Q & A after the screening   On November 19th at 6PM! \nThis documentary is about the Red Berets for Medicare for All who started in Tacoma\, Washington and their collaboration with Whole Washington and also features several powerful healthcare stories from across the nation that illustrate the failures of our US healthcare system.  Produced by Dr. Joseph Jarvis\, Directed by Kenny Ballantine and narrated by Susan Sarandon. DESCRIPTION:Whole Washington is excited to be coming to Mt. Vernon/Burlington\, Washington in beautiful Skagit County!  We have been visiting every corner of the state to create spaces for open dialog about the failures of our current for-profit healthcare system\, to solicit stories from those impacted by the lack of adequate nurse staffing\, hospital and provider closures\, challenges of navigating insurance coverage and denials\, or surprise bills and financial debt. This is a non-partisan\, educational event – open to the public.  Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours.  We also plan to provide highlights regarding how the Washington Health Trust will resolve or begin to resolve your issues. and answer your questions. \nWe believe we can do better by establishing the Washington Health Trust and designing a nonprofit system that works for patients and providers\, without the corrupting influence of for-profit insurance companies. We believe unions\, small businesses and our communities will benefit greatly by disconnecting healthcare from employment and ensuring healthy families\, longer and more productive lives and a healthy workforce. \nThis is an in person event to be held at the Skagit County PUD Aqua room in Mt.
