It’s a fantastic way to get a feel for what signature gathering entails. \nHere’s Where We’ll Be\nThe Issaquah Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday over the summer in the parking lot by the Pickering Barn (across the street from Costco).  \nThis event is reliably great: there’s a designated space for us to set up a station (i.e. a free speech zone) that is mostly in the shade\, ample space for physical distancing\, and easy access to restrooms\, food\, and drinks! \nI’ll be there at 9am to set up a table with our signs and sheets! \nWhat To Know & Bring\nThis is a great event to get started at (it’s how I got started collecting signatures)\, and it’s always more fun in numbers! \nAlways bring items to keep yourself comfortable like water\, snacks\, a hat\, SPF\, and always wear comfortable shoes.  FYI this farmer’s market does not allow dogs. \nBring and wear any Whole Washington-related items or supplies if you have them. \n \n\nSpread the word:

DESCRIPTION:Calling all Whole Washington Volunteers!  You are invited to join our Opening Day Legislative Kick Off Event!  Monday January 13th\, 2025! It’s the opening day of our Washington Legislative Session.  We reserved a room at the Lacey Library from 10AM-12PM (closest I could find with an available room). We can coordinate who can visit which Reps and Senators Offices.  We’ll drop them by a Policy Brief\, answer questions from LA’s\, and remind their LA to encourage the Rep. or Sen. to sign on as a cosponsor to their respective bills. They have 24 hours to do that after opening day.  We’ll meet again at 4 PM at The Owl’s Nest for coffee and to have a check-in/debrief.  Someone mentioned it might be a good time to meet briefly with Patty Kurderer at the Office of the Insurance Commissioner which I think is a great idea!  The electeds will have a busy day so we won’t plan in interfering with their work.  There are like 150 of them so it would be great to have 4-5 teams of 3-4 people.  Stay tuned for some carpool options. \nPlease RSVP below: \n \n\nSpread the word:

DESCRIPTION:Whole Washington holds a volunteer retreat every 6 months. These events have supported building\, communicating\, and implementing our strategic plan to win state-based universal single-payer healthcare here in Washington. By bill or by ballot. \nThis October\, we are taking our retreat to SW Washington for the first time. We will be meeting at Loowit Brewing – Downtown Pub in their meeting space. Doors open at 11. Event will start at 11:15/11:30 and run until 4:30. This event is free and open to past\, current\, and future volunteers. Bring a fellow activist or co-conspirator. 🙂 Whole Washington will be providing a non-alcoholic beverage service and some appetizers. Feel free to purchase lunch from the pub menu. \nVancouver and the 49th LD are becoming more and more important in the healthcare justice movement in Washington. Look for other/additional events in the Vancouver area in October on our website calendar. \nIt is critical that we organize in every community.
