The gala program will be ASL interpreted upon a request received by the event organizers at least two weeks in advance of the gala date. Masks are encouraged but not mandatory. DESCRIPTION:Whole Washington is coming to Federal Way for a community conversation about the woes of our current for-profit healthcare system and how establishing the Washington Health Trust could be a real solution for Washington state. Saving lives and saving money. \nWe are creating spaces for open dialogue about our healthcare system.  In some way\, we’re all too familiar with the failures of the fragmented\, for-profit system that we have today.  Failures like: \n\ninadequate staffing\nnavigating narrow networks\nchallenges with navigating insurance coverage\ndenials and pre-authorizations\nsurprise bills and medical debt\n\nWe know we can do better. By establishing the Washington Health Trust and designing a publicly funded\, nonprofit system\, we can offer comprehensive care to all Washington State residents.  Patients\, providers\, unions\, small businesses\, our entire community will benefit. When we disconnect healthcare from employment\, we live longer and save money. \nWhole Washington organizers will present about 20 minutes worth of material and then move into Q & A. Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours! We’ll highlight how the Washington Health Trust can resolve many existing issues and get us on track to a brighter future. \nThese town halls are non-partisan\, educational events\, open to everyone. This is a non-partisan\, educational event – open to the public.  We plan to present about 20 minutes of content  and then move a Q & A from you\, the audience.  Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours.  We also plan to provide highlights regarding how the Washington Health Trust will resolve or begin to resolve your issues. and answer your questions. \nWe believe we can do better by establishing the Washington Health Trust and designing a nonprofit system that works for patients and providers\, without the corrupting influence of for-profit insurance companies.
