DESCRIPTION:Thanks for your interest in helping us reach our 400\,000 signature goal for Universal Healthcare! \nHello! \nMy name is Carey and I live in Cowlitz County. I’ll be your main point of contact for this event. Squirrel Fest starts at 10am and lasts until 5pm on Saturday August 20th. I plan to be there before the event (9am) to conduct a quick training session for any new volunteers. I have found showing up early to these events allows you to gather signatures from some of the vendors who may not be able to sign once they are open for business. \nInitiative 1471 is a non-partisan healthcare initiative with wide appeal\, but it is worth noting Cowlitz County Dems have graciously agreed to host petitions at their booth for this event. If you want to sign it and can’t find one of our volunteers – please look for the Dem booth. \nHere’s Where We’ll Be\nEvent Date: Saturday 8/20/2022 \nEvent Location: Longview Civic Circle \nhttps://www.facebook.com/LongviewSquirrelFest/photos/gm.1051322825430999/4959148670801861 \nHere’s where you can find Whole Washington volunteers specifically:  \nCarey will be located at/near the crosswalk for the Longview public Library at 9am.  \nCarey will be at the Cowlitz County Dem booth from 0930-1200.  \nCarey will update this event as additional Whole Washington volunteers are staffed for later shifts.  \nDescription of how to recognize me:  \nCarey will be wearing red Whole Washington volunteer t-shirt.  \nWhat To Know & Bring\nIf you have a Whole Washington T-shirt already\, feel free to wear it. If you want one\, we can get one on ordered for you. I have some of last year’s shirts on-hand and can bring one for you if I have your size. \nIf you already have boards and petitions\, please bring them. \nIf you don’t have any supplies at all\, no worries – I will have some extras with me and more can be found at the Dem booth. \nAlways bring items to keep yourself comfortable like water\, snacks\, a hat\, SPF\, and always wear comfortable shoes. \nCollecting signatures is easy\, fun\, and rewarding!
