Town hall in Burlington

November 23 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Whole Washington is excited to be coming to Mt. Vernon/Burlington, Washington in beautiful Skagit County!  We have been visiting every corner of the state to create spaces for open dialog about the failures of our current for-profit healthcare system, to solicit stories from those impacted by the lack of adequate nurse staffing, hospital and provider closures, challenges of navigating insurance coverage and denials, or surprise bills and financial debt. This is a non-partisan, educational event – open to the public.  Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours.  We also plan to provide highlights regarding how the Washington Health Trust will resolve or begin to resolve your issues. and answer your questions.

We believe we can do better by establishing the Washington Health Trust and designing a nonprofit system that works for patients and providers, without the corrupting influence of for-profit insurance companies. We believe unions, small businesses and our communities will benefit greatly by disconnecting healthcare from employment and ensuring healthy families, longer and more productive lives and a healthy workforce.

This is an in person event to be held at the Skagit County PUD Aqua room in Mt. Vernon!  1415 Freeway Dr.,  Mt. Vernon, WA 98273

If possible we will try and live stream also depending on availability of volunteers!
