SJM 8004 Passes!

With a vote of 56 Yeas to 39 Nays, Washington State goes on record for Universal Healthcare!

We’re thrilled to announce SJM 8004 PASSED! The Universal Healthcare Resolution passed the WA State House late Tuesday night.

SJM8004 is largely symbolic–it doesn’t provide healthcare to anyone. However, we’re on the record now. Washington State wants and deserves Universal Healthcare, not insurance.

Now we shift to passing comprehensive legislation that DOES offer healthcare; medical, dental, vision, mental health, reproductive care and more. Let’s pass the Washington Health Trust.
