2025 Legislative Opening Day Kick Off

Calling all Whole Washington Volunteers!  You are invited to join our Opening Day Legislative Kick Off Event!  Monday January 13th, 2025! It’s the opening day of our Washington Legislative Session.  We reserved a room at the Lacey Library from 10AM-12PM (closest I could find with an available room). We can coordinate who can visit which Reps and Senators Offices.  We’ll drop them by a Policy Brief, answer questions from LA’s, and remind their LA to encourage the Rep. or Sen. to sign on as a cosponsor to their respective bills. They have 24 hours to do that after opening day.  We’ll meet again at 4 PM at The Owl’s Nest for coffee and to have a check-in/debrief.  Someone mentioned it might be a good time to meet briefly with Patty Kurderer at the Office of the Insurance Commissioner which I think is a great idea!  The electeds will have a busy day so we won’t plan in interfering with their work.  There are like 150 of them so it would be great to have 4-5 teams of 3-4 people.  Stay tuned for some carpool options.
