Most Washingtonians support universal healthcare

In 2017 Northwest Progressive Institute polled Washingtonians for their support of a Medicare for All style universal healthcare system and found that support (64%) was more than twice as strong as opposition (32%).

Most Washingtonians are willing to pay higher taxes for universal healthcare

In 2010 the University of Washington School of Public Health conducted a poll that found that a majority of Washingtonians are willing to pay higher taxes to achieve universal healthcare by a margin of 10%.

Washingtonians are ready for change

In 2024 Economic Opportunity Institute and United States of Care published a report which found that across a number of questions a majority of Washingtonians regardless of political party believe that the private market is unable to regulate healthcare costs, that the system needs to change, and that lawmakers must take action to address rising costs.
