Open Positions
Graphic Designer
Whole Washington must conduct a massive public awareness and education campaign in order to win on a statewide ballot. This will be driven heavily through graphics both digital, printed, and merchandised.
We need graphic designers to help us develop new and eye catching materials to distribute at events and bring people into our cause.
Logistics Manager
Whole Washington is a statewide and boots-on-the-ground operation with significant supplies and materials to manage.
We need a Logistics Manager to help manage our inventory of supplies, stay on top of where things are located, and ensure that organizers have access to the things they need.
Events Coordinator
Whole Washington keeps a busy calendar and needs talented event planners to help us organize successful events in person and online.
We need an active events planning team to help us identify good event opportunities and stay on top of logistics while working with our communications team and website developers to make sure they are well promoted and attended.
Press Coordinator/Strategist
Whole Washington is seeking someone to develop and execute a press strategy and generate earned media for our universal healthcare advocacy.
Whole Washington currently has a press resources page and regularly sends out press releases which has generated some amazing coverage – we are looking to generate a lot more.
As Press Coordinator you would work within our Communications team and have significant support and be able to coordinate messages across our large email list and social media platforms.
Fundraising Director
Whole Washington is seeking fundraising coordinators to help significantly expand our donor-base and operational budget.
Whole Washington is primarily funded by a core of small donors and regularly goes through boom-bust cycles of donations and stagnation. Whole Washington is working to raise enough money to launch a successful nine-month signature gathering campaign. Once we make the ballot we will have one year to win a statewide get out the vote campaign.
As a Fundraising Director we would be looking to you to work with the Board of Directors and Executive Director on developing fundraising strategies and successfully executing them through leadership of a volunteer team.
Economist
Whole Washington seeks to design a modern and innovative statewide universal healthcare system that can prove its superiority to the private employer-based system we live under today.
Financing a universal healthcare system and transitioning a significant portion of our GDP from private spending into public financing is a huge challenge.
Whole Washington is interested in working with economists to review existing literature on healthcare economics, conduct research into the unknown, and design a financing plan that works within our state’s tax code that can raise billions in revenue to fund healthcare while reducing total cost.
Social Media Coordinator
Whole Washington is working to build an active presence and engaged community on as many social media platforms as possible. Social media coordinators are entrusted to create content, engage with comments, and build a following.
Join our social media team and become a coordinator on your favorite social network! We are recruiting coordinators for every platform but especially need coordinators for Instagram, X/Twitter, and Discord.
Labor Coordinator
Whole Washington is working with unions to build a powerful labor movement for universal healthcare. If you are a worker, union member, labor organizer, or looking to become one, please apply.
As labor coordinator we are looking to have you liaise and develop engagement strategies with unions and union members inside Whole Washington and in labor/coalition spaces.
Campus organizer
Whole Washington is working to build a student movement for universal healthcare on every college/university in Washington! If you are a student who spends a significant amount of time on campus you are encouraged to apply.
Work with student clubs, pitch stories to the paper, make it your capstone – the possibilities are endless. Campus organizers will be encouraged to develop their own ideas to engage students.
Regional Coordinator
Whole Washington is working to build a robust regional organizational structure across 7 regions of Washington.
Regional Coordinators are expected to support county and political coordinators in their region in maintaining regular meetings, community events, and political progress. Regional coordinators are not expected to directly bottom line this work but instead keep track of a modest list of goals and people.
We are currently recruiting coordinators for the Southwest, Central, and Southeast regions.

County Coordinator
Whole Washington is working to build a boots-on-the-ground presence in every county of Washington and needs county coordinators to organize regular community canvasses and socials.
County Coordinators are expected to organize at least one in-person event a month appropriate for Whole Washington volunteers of any skill level to attend. Organizing actions can include things like tabling, lit distribution, and postering while social events like happy hours, movie nights, and house events are encouraged as well.
We are looking to recruit at least one county coordinator in each of Washington’s 39 counties. Very few positions are currently filled.
Legislative Coordinator
Whole Washington backs multiple bills in the legislature and needs a powerful legislative outreach team to see them through to passage.
Legislative Coordinators are typically assigned a single Legislative or Congressional District and a small number of bills and legislators to track. The advocacy they do is critical to bringing on more support from legislators and advancing them through to completion.
We are looking to recruit at least one legislative coordinator in each of Washington’s 49 state legislative districts with additional coordinators covering Congress and the Governor.
To find your Legislative District go to https://app.leg.wa.gov/districtfinder.
Congressional Coordinator
Whole Washington supports federal action to establish universal healthcare in individual states and nationally.
Congressional Coordinators will be assigned a single member of Congress and be asked to track their progress on a couple of bills and other political asks. They will pursue meetings with either the Congressmember or their staff.
We are working to recruit a Congressional Coordinator in each Congressional District in Washington as well as both Senators for a total of 12 Congressional Coordinators.
To find your Congressional District go to https://app.leg.wa.gov/districtfinder.
Assistant Board Secretary
Whole Washington is working to build a strong, diverse, and representative Board of Directors through both advisory and voting positions.
An Assistant Board Secretary is an advisory position that provides support and backup for the Board Secretary by helping with notes, document management, and deadlines.
As an assistant and advisory position this is a good way to be given leadership opportunities while taking on a low level of direct responsibility.
