More About the Film & These Events

Each event will include a panel discussion with the filmmakers and many of the amazing activists who are featured in the film. Healing US has a strong connection to the state of Washington. Much of the film was shot here and focuses on the movement for single-payer healthcare in the state.

Healing US makes the case for American healthcare to be accessible to all—through a single-payer system. The film provides arguments for universal healthcare from the standpoint of liberals, conservatives, doctors, public health officials, ex-Insurance executives, families who have suffered under our current system, veterans, and patients. What truly makes this moment important is that Healing US reopens the conversation of healthcare in our country with empathy and healing at the center. This isn’t about one party or another; this is about taking care of each other regardless of our differences.
