"The Tri-Cities Socialists endorse the Whole Washington plan for a universal healthcare trust. Working people are drowning in medical debt and face enormous hurdles to getting adequate care as a result of the for-profit healthcare industry, and especially the parasitic health insurance industry. Universal healthcare a basic fundamental right enjoyed by most of the world, and the Washington Health Trust would be a great step in the right direction of creating a healthcare system that is run with people's best interests in mind, not just corporate greed."
