A coalition of healthcare advocates in partnership with Senator Bob Hasegawa’s office, introduced a suite of five healthcare bills for this short legislative session that begins January 12th.
Whole Washington urges everyone to comment in support of these bills and to contact their state legislators to cosponsor the bills in the Senate and introduce companion bills in the House.
Building on the momentum from the passage of 2025’s SJM 8004, these bills will save money, expand access, protect our rights, increase accountability, and prepare us for the implementation of universal healthcare.
While we continue to push for the Washington Health Trust (SB 5233 and HB 1445 need a hearing), these new bills keep the movement building.
