Meet the coalition partners working towards our common goal
The movement to bring universal healthcare (UHC) to Washington is backed by a broad coalition of diverse partners across the state, all working towards the same goal. We have strength in numbers, and this solidarity gives us a broad reach as we move forward to achieve healthcare for all Washingtonians.
We partner with Healthcare is a Human Right WA, with a total of 44 member organizations and 20 additional allied organizations. When you see just how many coalition partners we’re working with, you’ll understand that we can win.

Endorsements—they support us too
We’re proud to have endorsements from leaders across the state, including unions to physicians to small business owners. Pulling together with committed backing from stakeholders in every corner of Washington shows you just how powerful this movement is. The momentum to bring universal healthcare to Washington is building every day, especially as more and more people suffer the devastating effects of our current profit-driven system.
Have a look at just a few of our endorsers:
Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson

“I support Whole Washington and universal healthcare because everyone deserves to have the care they need to lead a healthy, dignified life, no matter what their background is or what’s in their bank account. People over profit!” (endorsed Whole Washington and the Washington Health Trust for the year of 2025)
Indivisible

“We at Indivisible Greater Vancouver know that healthcare is a basic human right. All of us deserve to be able to go to the doctor without fear of going broke.”
Indivisible groups that endorse Whole Washington:
- Bainbridge Island
- Bremerton
- Greater Vancouver
- North Kitsap
- Seattle
- Eastside
Seattle City Council

“Seattle City Council endorses the people’s efforts to pass Improved Medicare for All through Whole Washington’s state-wide initiative I-1471 [and the Washington Health Trust]; United States Senate Bill 4204 (‘S. 4204’), ‘A bill to establish a Medicare-for-all national health insurance program’; and United States House Resolution 1976 (‘HR. 1976’), ‘A bill to establish a national Medicare-for-All health insurance program.’”
Small businesses, such as Seven Coffee Roasters

“I support Whole Washington’s Single Payer Healthcare plan because I want all of my employees to have access to affordable, common-sense health care. Small businesses can rarely afford to provide health care to our employees. That makes the risk of owning a small business that much greater. It also further widens the competition gap between small business and corporate giants.” —Sean Lee, president
Physicians, such as Dr. Pam Kohlmeier

“As an emergency physician, I have seen suffering when patients put off medical care because they lack insurance. This is unacceptable and Washington can (and MUST) ensure that all Washington residents have healthcare insurance.”

Pledge to sign our ballot initiative

Online pledges help Whole Washington ensure that its next ballot initiative campaign will be successful. They provide us a means to assess and identify public support, train volunteers, and build a wide reach. It helps with initiating conversations about universal healthcare and getting more people to take action. And it will help us get in touch and collect your signature when it’s time.
