🍎 Three actions you can take for #HealthcareJustice this giving Tuesday

Happy Giving Tuesday!

We hope you’re doing well this holiday season – Whole Washington is thankful for the incredible dedication of the healthcare justice movement. To every volunteer, donor, and supporter of Whole Washington, you are our constant reminder that we can win healthcare for all.

We have a few humble suggestions for action you can take this giving Tuesday.

1. Become a recurring Whole Washington donor – small recurring donations fuel our movement and help us budget for the future. We operate on a tiny budget and work off of less than $1,700 a month in recurring donations. Please help us take this movement to the next level by signing up for a recurring monthly donation of any size – your contribution makes a massive impact.
2. Apply to be on the Universal Healthcare Commission by end of day 11/30 – the universal healthcare commission was created to study and recommend a statewide universal healthcare system to the legislature. We want as many strong single-payer advocates on it as possible. The commission includes seats for citizens with no prior knowledge or experience of the healthcare system so please apply if interested!
3. Leave a public comment for the Seattle City Council by 12/06 – The Seattle City Council will take public comment before a vote on a non-binding universal healthcare resolution. The resolution includes explicit support for both Medicare for All and the Washington Health Trust. For now, we are asking that you email [email protected] as well as the individual councilmembers urging them to vote YES on the upcoming universal healthcare resolution.

We hope you are well and look forward to rounding out the year together. This campaign has brought together so many people across the state of Washington and we are very excited to make 2023 a huge year for the healthcare justice movement.

Solidarity,
Andre Stackhouse
